Where to Find (and Catch) Sliggoo in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
To find the rare Dragon-type Pokémon Sliggoo in Pokémon Crimson and Violet, Trainers will need to search high-level areas or engage in tough Tera battles.

The second form in the Goomy evolution line, the rare dragon-type Pokémon Sliggoo, can only be found in a few places in the Paldea region of Pokémon Crimson and Violet. While some Pokémon trainers may be put off by the thought of catching a Pokémon covered in highly concentrated and powerful goo, other eager trainers who want to complete their Pokédex will want to track down this relatively rare Pokémon type. To do this, Pokémon Trainers need to head to one of the few locations where you can find some of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's most powerful wild Pokémon.
Pokémon trainers aiming to complete the Pokédex for Pokémon Crimson and Violet will soon gain an in-depth working knowledge of the many regions and biomes in the Paldea region. A precursor to the powerful Dragon-type Pokémon, Sliggoo can be found in Sector 4 of Western Province and Lake Caseroa, where many of the game's toughest wild Pokémon can be found. According to Serebii, Sliggoo appears in both regions as a premium wild Pokémon, allowing players to fight it and capture it. However, for Pokémon trainers who haven't made it to these areas yet, there's another viable option.
Where To Find And Catch Sliggoo In Pokémon Scarlet And Violet

Trainers who want to catch Sliggoo early should travel to the southern province of Paldea, where several of the ten picturesque sites of Paldea can be found. Sliggoo spawns in District 4 of the Southern Province as one of the region's wild Tera Pokémon, allowing trainers to fight and capture it. According to Techno Trainer, in this particular battle, Sliggoo was a pure Poison-type Pokémon, not a Dragon-type Pokémon. As such, Trainers will have to adjust their teams accordingly to avoid using Grass- and Fairy-type Pokémon that will take super-effective damage from Sliggoo's Poison-type Sludge Bomb move.
Trainers should note that Wild Tera Pokémon are usually higher level than normal Wild Pokémon in the same region. However, according to Serebii, trainers should expect to fight Sliggoo at level 30, which is lower than wild Sliggoo found in Western Province Region Four or Lake Casseroya. To catch wild Scarlet and Violet Tera Pokémon, trainers don't actually have to change their methods. Cutting a Pokémon's HP and using status effects like Freeze or Paralyze are still the best ways for Trainers to improve their chances of catching Pokémon.

It's worth noting that trainers with some time can still Option to capture Goomy, Sliggoo's pre-evolution form. While this means Trainers will have to invest more time in training and evolving Goomy, this type of Pokémon is much more common than Sliggoo. Wherever trainers find Sliggoo, they can add it to their team, and by evolving it into Goodra, they can add one of the best dragon types in Pokémon Crimson and Violet to their roster .
